Program Operation and Office Hours:

There are two options for the before-school program:

  • 7:00 am – 8:45 am (Early)
  • 7:30 am – 8:45 am (Regular)

After school is from 3:50 pm to 6:00 pm.

All programs are open on regular school days and early release school days.   You can reach the EDEP Manager at 850-274-1516.  Office hours are 7:00 am – 11:00 am.  Please feel free to email anytime.  Emails are checked regularly.    Students begin to arrive in EDEP directly after 3:50 pm.

From 3:30 to 4:00 pm, staff are preparing for after-school and getting students organized and settled when they arrive, therefore it is difficult to accept phone calls during that time.  If you need your student directly at dismissal, please contact the front office and leave a message for your student.  3:00 pm is the deadline for leaving messages in the front office.

Drop-off and Pick-up:

Before school, students are to be dropped off in the parking lot behind the cafeteria and enter the gate by the cafeteria.  Before and after school will now be in the cafeteria.  Please pick up students in the cafeteria parking lot off of 10th Avenue.  For the safety and well-being of our students, after school, parents must call 850-274-1516 when they arrive for their child to be released.  No child will be released to a person not authorized in writing by a custodial parent.  Please remember to send an email to Lisa.gilmore@leonschools.net if someone other than you or a designated person is picking up your child.

*Electronic Guidelines:

Students are prohibited from using wireless devices during school and in the before and after-school programs.  This includes cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds/headphones, tablets, or gaming devices.  This information is effective this school year in Accordance with the Florida House Bill 1105.  A copy of the bill may be provided upon request.

Snacks:

Students are released at 8:45 am to take part in the breakfast that is provided by the school.  Nutritious snacks are provided in the Afterschool program via Leon County Schools dining services.
