  • Aid students in development of self-esteem, decision-making skills, social skills etc.
  • Provide community resources and referrals to families in need
  • Provide classroom support to identify students who may benefit from services
  • Provide referrals for mental/ emotional health
 Provide small-group and individual sessions for students to improve:
  • Academic success
  • Self-esteem
  • Stress management
  • Anger management
  • Coping skills
  • Positive decision-making
  • Personal responsibility
  • Communication techniques

*How to request a Parent Teacher Conference

  • Conferences with teachers can be scheduled at 8:45am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  • Conferences take place in Microsoft TEAMS. Parents accept the calendar invitation to receive the login link.
  • Students must also participate in the conference, when possible. If the student is on campus during the conference, they will be called to Student Services or Main Office to participate in the TEAMS meeting.
  • To schedule a conference, email Ms. Speed at speedd@leonschools.net or call the Guidance Office at 850-488-7495.

Canvas Observer

Do you want to be able to view your student's teacher's Canvas pages? You can add yourself as an "observer" to your student's Canvas by completing the following two steps:

  1. Have your student generate a "pairing code" by following the directions here.
  2. Create yourself an account by going to this website: Canvas Login

This is a friendly reminder that FOCUS should be used to look at your student's current grades. Canvas does not accurately represent your student's academic standing.
