No Sports Tryouts, Field Trips, or Extracurriculars without an Approved Aktivate Profile!
Students are not permitted to participate in sports tryouts, field trips, or extracurricular activities without an approved Aktivate profile!
LCS has created an online portal through Aktivate for activity and athletic paperwork submissions. All forms must be submitted to the portal prior to events, field trips, clinics, camps, and tryouts.
Participation Fees for Home Education and Private School Students
In accordance with the Leon County Schools Board Policy 2431, eligible home education and private school students who choose to participate in a Leon County Schools athletic team or performing arts program are required to pay the applicable participation fee for each sport and/or activity in which they participate.
The participation fee shall be the greater of:
- $400.00 per sport and/or activity, or
- The participation fee established for enrolled Leon County Schools students participating in that same sport or activity.
Only one participation fee will be assessed per sport or activity. Students will not be charged both amounts.
All participation fees are paid directly to the school where the student participates.

Athlete Requirements
- All students interested in participating must have a new physical and activity form. These forms expire every year. These forms must be submitted on the LCS Aktivate system (see above).
- Along with the paperwork mentioned above, students must have and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.
- Raa student-athletes must also meet or exceed our behavior expectations to represent our school.
- Students without current physicals or activity forms will NOT be allowed to participate in tryouts, practices, or competitions.
- Students cannot attend field trips or extracurricular events unless their guardian has digitally signed the Activity Form on their Aktivate website profile
- Physicals are good for one calendar year from the date administered and need to be completed using only the current FHSAA Physical form.
- Students may NOT participate in any athletics once their physical calendar year has expired, even if it expires in the middle of a season. Lastly, students are NOT eligible if they are15th. See AD Atkins for more specifics and the cutoff information.
Field Trip Permissions Forms
Hello! Every student planning to participate in extra-curricular activities must have a signed Activity Form (just like in past years). What's different this year, is that middle schools have their forms on a new Leon Schools platform called Aktivate website.
